Pinkfoot Gallery

The Pinkfoot Gallery is on the stunning North Norfolk coast in a village called Cley next the Sea. We specialise in Modern British Nature and always have a wide range of paintings and sculptures on view. We are a friendly and approachable gallery, and like all the shops in Cley, we are open every day. There is a large, free car park by the village hall so you can leave the car and explore the delights of Cley on foot.

No Borders, Just Horizons - Only Freedom, Amelia Earhart
Horizons - an exhibition of 14 Daniel Cole landscapes opens on 3rd December.
From Cley-Next-The-Sea to Holkham - Daniel Cole reflects the lines, light and space of the North Norfolk coastline. Cole uses strong colours and abstract shapes to depict his view - both real and imagined. Daniel's unique voice interprets North Norfolk's wide open spaces in an exciting and striking style. These large oil/mixed media paintings on canvas, the largest being 1.5m wide, really are statement pieces. Beautifully presented in hand-made and painted gessoed frames.

23rd October - 6th November

Centred on the outdoors, the colours and influences of nature ... big Norfolk skies. This exhibition considers the beauty of the natural world and yet at the same time explores the sub-conscious of the ancient, the instincts of the hunter gatherer, survival. The battle of the war within. The struggle, the acknowledgement, the release, the ultimate peace. The ability of the artist to recognise and give voice to the internal through the external.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition of works by Stephen Page. The main inspiration for the work in 'Entities' comes from an interest in art and artefacts from throughout human history that reflect our changing relationship with animals.

Working from his studio in the Tanat Valley in Mid Wales, Page creates iconic sculptures which are cast in bronze through the lost wax process and finally coloured through the chemical process of patination in a variety of tones, hues and marble effects. Page exhibits nationally and internationally and his work is included in collections in the UK and worldwide.

We are excited to be exhibiting Suzanne Lawrence's latest body of work 'The Shape of Colours'. Whilst out painting, Suzanne spends time immersing herself into the landscape, listening to the sounds around her.  Often finding hidden flashes of colour within different natural objects. Her exhibition is about these exciting moments where you can see colour, pattern and line within the landscape.

Suzanne comes from a Norfolk farming family and has grown up with an ingrained understanding of the ever-changing weather on the local landscape. Throughout Suzanne's work, there's a constant sense of the elements, whether it's a slight breeze in the reeds or a full-scale hoolie over the marsh, with her confident brush marks and sympathetic palette, Suzanne really encapsulates her landscape.

New Work by Daniel Cole

We are excited to have a selection of new works by Daniel Cole in the gallery from 20th July. His hugely popular works feature many recognisable North Norfolk landscapes with an exciting twist of abstraction.

Daniel is attracted to the light on the North Norfolk coast and is a regular guest at Pinkfoot from his native Cornwall. Here the vast open beach space, big skies, never-ending marsh and rising sand dunes all form the basis of his exciting and invigorating landscapes.
